An earthquake of magnitude 6.2 hit the Indonesian island of Yamdena, TASS reported referring to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center.

According to it, the epicenter of tremors was located 272 km from the city of Tual (with about 39 thousand inhabitants). The focus lies at a depth of 49 km.

There have been no reports of casualties, damage, or the tsunami threat yet.
