The grandson of late US President George W. Bush, Pierce Bush, lost the Republican primary in Texas, Daily Mail reported. 

Being part of one of America's foremost political dynasties, Bush, 34, also had the support of outgoing Republican incumbent Pete Olson and Bush raised more money during his campaign than the other 14 candidates from the party.

Bush has been beaten by Troy Nehls and Kathaleen Wall, Trump’s defenders. This inevitably raises the question of whether personal clashes between the Bush family and Donald Trump could lead to the disappointment of voters.

This congressional failure in Texas was the first since 1978, when the Bush family began its political career. Since 1978, the Bushs have invariably won all elections in Texas.
