YEREVAN. – There are thousands of people in Armenia who are infected with COVID-19, but do not even know they are infected. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated about this at Wednesday's government sitting.

"Usually, only a part—about half—of the cases are detected. Therefore, if there are 7,000 diagnosed cases, it means there are [actually] 14,000 infected people. Ninety percent of those 14 thousand do not know they are infected. That's why wearing a face mask should be de facto mandatory. [But] if our message of being de facto mandatory is not accepted, with the next step, we will make [it] also de jure mandatory everywhere," he added, in particular.
