From 400 to 500 people were arrested as a result of night riots in Los Angeles, LA Police Department spokesperson Josh Rubenstein told CNN.

He added that the exact number of arrests, as well as citizens injured during the riots, is being compiled.

As reported earlier, protests and riots took place in the US cities amid the murder of African American George Floyd by a policeman in Minnesota.

Two dead are reported: one of them was shot dead in Detroit, and the second was an officer of the US Federal Protective Service.
