YEREVAN. – As of today, wearing a mask is a must, anywhere outside the home. We must follow each other, impose on each other, demand from each other that the anti-epidemic requirements are met. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Thursday noted this on Facebook livestream, and regarding the fight against COVID-19 in Armenia.

"I was convinced yesterday that the most effective tool we apply is public oversight. We are forming a public anti-epidemic oversight team. I am putting another task: An anti-democratic movement should start in Armenia. First of all, everyone should observe the rules, secondly, demand from others to observe those rules, and, also, publish—on his social media page—the cases of breaking of the rules.

A monitoring group has already been set up in the relevant bodies, which will monitor those publications. I urge everyone to join that movement. At the same time, it doesn't matter whether or not we are diagnosed [with COVID-19]," the PM also said.

"Of course, we have several scenarios, one of which we will apply; but my call and expectation is that an anti-epidemic movement start in Armenia. (…) it is our individual behavior that leads to results,” Pashinyan added.
