YEREVAN. – It is natural that a lot of work is being done during this period to find a vaccine for COVID-19 and, in theory, this vaccine can be created in three months; but it may not be created for the next three years either. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated about this at Friday's special sitting of the National Assembly of Armenia.

"Here, too, we must be guided by the 'Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst’ scenario. Our daily coronavirus numbers record how we kept the anti-epidemic rules for 7 to 14 days. It is clear from the numbers that we have not observed the anti-epidemic rules at the proper level," the Prime Minister added.

In Pashinyan's opinion, an anti-epidemic movement should start in Armenia. "If we need to start formally from some zero point, I think our meeting today can be that symbolic zero point. I myself am committed—as a person who has not properly followed these rules before, as evidenced by the fact that I was infected with coronavirus—to accurately, personally observe all the established rules, without exception. It should be so that the non-compliance with these rules should be considered a shame. This is not a matter of a week or a year. We need to adapt to the realities of the issue and to the new world.”
