YEREVAN. – A large number of police officers have been placed on duty at the Shengavit district court of the Yerevan court of general jurisdiction where the court session on the criminal case against second president of Armenia Robert Kocharyan and several other former senior officials will resume soon, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reported from the area.

But on Tuesday, the second president will enter the court from its main entrance.

On June 18, the Criminal Court of Appeal ruled in favor of Kocharyan's lawyers' appeal of the first-instance court decision denying the motion to commute the precautionary measure of arrest that has been carried out regarding him. And on June 20, Robert Kocharyan was released from custody on bail of 2 billion drams—more than US$4 million.
