YEREVAN. – Minister of Justice of Armenia Rustam Badasyan on Wednesday Natalia Voutova, outgoing Head of the Council of Europe (CoE) Office in Yerevan.

During the meeting, they touched upon the results of a number of jointly implemented and ongoing programs.

Touching upon the issue of vetting in the judicial system of Armenia, the CoE official stressed that the amendments made by the Ministry of Justice to the Judicial Code of Armenia have created the necessary mechanism for implementing this vetting effectively and in line with European standards and values.

Minister Badasyan, for his part, expressed readiness to continue cooperation with the CoE with the same efficiency.

In her turn, Voutova expressed the readiness of the Council of Europe to continue assisting Armenia in strengthening the rule of law and implementing reforms.
