US President Donald Trump claimed there would be the COVID-19 'therapeutic and/or vaccine solution' 'long before' the end of the year, USA Today reported.

His remarks came during a "Salute to America" event at the White House.

In the meantime, according to Jonathan Reiner, professor of medicine at George Washington University, a vaccine is unlikely by the end of the year, "at least not one released for widespread use."
