Not only in Armenia but all over the world, COVID-19 vaccination should be voluntary, Doctor of Medicine, Professor Henry Bakunts told a briefing on Monday.

According to him, it takes years to develop a vaccine, and this is not a guarantee of success, as was the case, for example, with the Ebola vaccine, which was developed for 10 years but was unsuccessful.

"The purpose of the vaccine is to awaken immunity, which should be the main weapon against the virus," he noted.
