YEREVAN. – The court session on the criminal case against second president of Armenia Robert Kocharyan and several other former senior officials on Tuesday continues the consideration of the defense's motion.

At the previous hearing, the defense motioned to lift the attachment on the property of defendants Robert Kocharyan and former deputy PM Armen Gevorgyan. The defense attorneys substantiated this motion by the fact that the investigative body has based the attachment on this property on the objective of securing the civil suit and court costs, whereas no civil suit was filed.

The prosecution had objected to these motions.

And the court had required from the defense to provide complete information on the property and bank accounts under this attachment.

Continuing to present the defense’s position, lawyer Hayk Alumyan on Tuesday recalled that the issue has already been considered at the appellate court where all the justifications that were brought at the last court session were brought.
