How long are you going to keep these people hostage? This is what one of the citizens holding a protest against Armenia’s closed borders said to Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan during a protest in front of the government building today.

“All countries have opened their borders, but Armenia is still extending the state of emergency,” the citizen said.

Mnatsakanyan reminded the protesters that the inconveniences in the country are due to the pandemic.

A Lebanese-Armenian protester told Minister Mnatsakanyan that his daughter is a citizen of Lebanon and that he hasn’t seen her for a year.

“Your daughter can come to Armenia since you are a citizen of Armenia and are living in Armenia. This has been made very clear. Three planes arrived from Lebanon these past three days, and there were only 100 passengers aboard the plane. Armenia created the opportunity and will continue with its policy. Your daughter has to contact the Embassy of Armenia in Lebanon in order to return to Armenia. In other words, these are simple issues that you should clarify before screaming at me,” Mnatsakanyan said.
