A 55-year-old military criminal wanted by the Croatian government has been arrested in Germany. The man was sentenced for a crime against humanity 23 years ago, but never served his punishment.
In 1997, the man, who is currently a US citizen, was sentenced to ten years in prison for murdering peaceful civilians during the 1993 war in Croatia.
However, the man, who name is anonymous, escaped from justice.
He was arrested at the airport in Frankfurt, is currently in custody and will be extradited to Croatia.
