Lilit Makunts, the head of the majority My Step faction in the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, on Friday made a post on her Facebook page on the occasion of the 19th anniversary of the terrorist act that took place in the US.

"The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 in the United States of America were a tragedy not only for the American people, but for the whole world.

The Armenian people, like the progressive society of the world, also condemn terrorism and are sure that terrorism knows no borders and can only be overcome and prevented through joint efforts. So, cooperation with the United States is very important in this regard. Armenia will continue to use the various existing international mechanisms and platforms in the fight against terrorism.

On behalf of the Armenian-American Friendship Group [of the NA], we express our support to the American people and our partners," Makunts wrote.
