There is also good news amid the economic crisis caused by COVID-19. Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"For example, in January-July 2020, the export of strawberry-blackberry-currant product group from Armenia increased by 166 percent; products worth 5.5 million [US] dollars were exported.

The important nuance here is that the products being exported are mainly produced in greenhouses.

(…) the export of the mushroom-pumpkin-spinach product group has increased by 62 percent; products worth 3.2 million dollars were exported.

Flower exports also increased by 16.9 percent; products worth 3.9 million dollars were exported.

The most exportable greenhouse product is still tomatoes. In January-July, the export volume increased by 18.5 percent; products worth 23.5 million dollars were exported,” Pashinyan added.
