YEREVAN. – At Wednesday’s sitting of the National Assembly of Armenia, the MPs passed—in the second and final reading—a number of changes to some laws.

Among them are: The Bill on Amendments to the Land Code, the Bill on Amendments and Addenda to the Labor Code, the Bill on Amendments and Addenda to the Property Tax Law, the approval of the 2019 Annual Report on the Implementation of the State Property Privatization Program 2017-2020, the bill on making amendments in the law on guarantees for the payment of the bank deposits for individuals, the Package on Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Road Transport and Related Laws, the Bill on Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Banks and Banking, the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Aviation, and the Bill on Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Local Self-Government.

In addition, the parliamentarians passed a number of other bills in the first reading.

The parliament also approved the composition of the parliamentary inquiry committee to study the effectiveness of the measures taken by the government and the commandant’s office in the fight against the coronavirus.
