President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian today signed the law on making amendments to the Criminal Code of Armenia based on which the sanctions for avoiding completing fixed-term military or alternative service, participating in training camps or mobilization and showing up to a military registration office after serving punishment in the form of imprisonment, illegally entering a military unit or other specially protected military territory, failing to fulfill an order, voluntarily leaving a military unit or place of service and deserting, as well as the sanctions for alternative employee leaving the place of service and avoiding service during martial law, war or in cases of battles, will be tightened, the Department of Public Relations of the Staff of the President of Armenia reported.
