The Ministry of Defense of Armenia is verifying the information regarding supplies of phosphorous munition to Azerbaijan.

Nevertheless, during today’s briefing, representative of the Ministry of Defense Artsrun Hovhannisyan said he couldn’t provide data when he was asked to provide information about the manufacturer and supplier.

Yesterday the Azerbaijani Armed Forces used phosphorus munition, which can become a reason for an ecological disaster. There is already information according to which about 150 hectares of forest have been burnt. More than 50 organizations have issued a statement strictly condemning Azerbaijan’s use of phosphorus munition.
