In Azerbaijan, the war is accompanied by massive and coordinated propaganda of hatred towards the Armenians, and special measures are taken to instill hatred on social networks. This is what Human Rights Defender of Armenia Arman Tatoyan said during today’s discussion on the draft of the 2021 State Budget held as part of the joint session of the Standing Committees on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs and on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs of the National Assembly of Armenia.

According to Tatoyan, in Azerbaijan, hatred starts from the political authorities and ends with cultural figures, the intelligentsia and others.

“The Office of the Human Rights Defender has detected groups on Telegram and other social networks where people are simply rejoicing, conducting surveys and holding votes with exceptional cynicism and with the purpose of instilling more hatred,” Tatoyan said.
