YEREVAN. – Past daily of Armenia writes: According to Past newspaper’s information, a few days ago [PM] Nikol Pashinyan's meeting with the members of the [majority] My Step faction of the NA [National Assembly] took place in a rather heated climate. The difficult situation created in the country as a consequence of the signing of the trilateral document and the authorities’ future steps, including possible scenarios of change of power, were discussed.

According to our sources, a significant group of MPs noted that, "Our train has already left." They said they would simply not be able to go the streets from now on, so it is necessary to find a way out to leave "softly."

At the same time, there was talk that if the "former ones" came to power, they would take revenge from them. The name of Artur Vanetsyan, former director of the NSS [National Security Service], leader of the [opposition] Homeland party, was noted as a "compromise" option.

According to the newspaper’s information, after that meeting, Nikol Pashinyan sent envoys to Artur Vanetsyan to discuss the possibility of a transfer of power without shocks. It has not yet been possible to find out what the result of those negotiations was.
