The Russian airbase at Erebuni Airport, at the joint Armenian-Russian base airport near Yerevan, has started operating in "Syria" mode.

The WarGonzo program’s Telegram channel reported, citing sources close to the leadership of the Russian Defense Ministry, that the Russian Aerospace Forces’ fighter jets in Armenia are on duty around the clock in the air.

It is noted that there is at least one Russian fighter jet constantly flying over the skies of Armenia.

Journalists have drawn attention to the fact that such a method is used at the Russian airbase in Khmeimim, Syria, as this ensures the safety of the civilian population and the movement of Russian peacekeeping convoys.
