Almost 32 thousand refugees returned to Nagorno-Karabakh with the assistance of Russian peacekeepers, Interfax reports with reference to the Russian Defense Ministry.
Civilians are returning to Nagorno-Karabakh from the territory of Armenia. During the day, another 1,244 people returned to their places of former residence. During the peacekeeping operation, the safe return of 31,917 refugees has already been ensured.
The ministry noted that Russian peacekeepers help citizens safely return home, they are provided with humanitarian aid. Civil and engineering infrastructure facilities are also being restored.
The Russian contingent of peacekeeping forces is conducting round-the-clock monitoring of the situation on the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. The ceasefire is observed along the entire contact line.
