Acting OSCE Chairperson, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden Anne Linde doesn’t consider the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh an example for Donbas.
Asked if the recent developments in Nagorno-Karabakh can serve as an example for Ukraine in an interview with Yerapeyskaya Pravda, Linde said the following: “Yes, in the sense that you should never forget about Crimea and Donbas, but no, in the sense that force should never be used since sustainable peace can’t be established by force. It’s not by chance that there is no peace deal between the sides to the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.”
Moreover, Linde said she was sharply against the view that the conflict in Donbas or Crimea is frozen since this will mean that you have given up and don’t view the settlement as possible.
