The Yerevan court of general jurisdiction today rejected the motion of an investigator of the National Security Service to choose arrest as a pre-trial measure against former governor of Aragatsotn Province Sargis Sahakyan.
The former regional governor, his brother Nairi Sahakyan — an ex-MP from the ruling Republican Party of Armenia — and former head of the Kakavadzor community are charged with misuse and embezzlement.
The head of Kakavadzor village has been questioned and given confessional testimonies.
