Armenia’s Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan is on a working visit to Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), where he was received by Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan.

During the meeting, issues related to the organization of the state institutions’ activities aimed at protecting the life, movement and other vital rights of the people in Artsakh in the post-war period, ensuring law and order, ensuring the normal functioning of law enforcement agencies, and military service duties and rights of the Artsakh Defense Army servicemen.

The matters of coordinated implementation of the functions of the Armenian and Artsakh law enforcement bodies in the process of searching for the bodies of Armenian servicemen killed as a result of the recent hostilities, missing servicemen and civilians, and the return of Armenian POWs and others in Azerbaijan, were also discussed

Davtyan noted that the Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia continues to support its Artsakh counterpart in the fight against crime and the implementation of its judicial functions within the framework of criminal proceedings, as well as in the reforms envisaged in the criminal justice and law enforcement system in Artsakh.
