YEREVAN. – As before, the issue of Armenian POWs remains at the focus of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs around the clock. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ara Aivazian, said this Tuesday in a talk with reporters at the National Assembly of Armenia.

According to him, the respective interdepartmental commission formed by the Armenian government continues to work in all directions. "If you have noticed, the international pressure [on Azerbaijan] is gradually increasing," the minister said, adding that Baku’s policy on the matter of captives was becoming a major “headache” for Azerbaijan itself.

Aivazian expressed hope that Baku will abandon this policy and will immediately give a positive decision on this very important humanitarian issue.
