Armenia needs to extend the embargo on Turkish products so long as the country’s local products can’t successfully compete with Turkish products. This is what Economy Minister Vahan Kerobya nsaid in response to a question from deputy of the ruling My Step faction of the National Assembly Karen Grigoryan during today’s question-and-answer session with government officials in parliament.

Kerobyan particularly recalled that the embargo had entered into force on January 1 for a six-month period. According to him, the ban must be extended at least one more time, and it’s better to extend it as long as there is a demand for local companies to regulate production with competitive prices.
