In the first quarter of 2021, money transfers made to Armenia comprised $406,000,000, and the growth is $52,000,000 more (14.7%). This is what Executive Director of the Union of Banks of Armenia Seyran Sargsyan told reporters today.

According to him, the volume of money transfers from Russia comprised $154,000,000, $118,000,000 from the US and $13,000,000 from Kazakhstan. “In the first quarter of 2021, money transfers from Armenia comprised $277,000,000, growth of $10,000,000 (3.9%). The most money transfers were made to Russia ($86,000,000), followed by the US ($44,000,000). The net inflow of foreign currency to Armenia comprised $129,000,000 for the first quarter of 2021 (US is in first place with $74,000,000, followed by Russia with $68,000,000),” he stated.
