Two of the three principles of the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) conflict have been violated. Artur Vanetsyan, the former director of the National Security Service, the leader of the "I have the honor" bloc, and the latter’s candidate for Prime Minister of Armenia, said this in an interview with renowned Russian journalist Vladimir Solovyov.

Vanetsyan drew parallels with the Crimean issue. "Crimea is Russian. Crimean residents have announced—by voting—their wish to join Russia. The will of the Crimean people is resolute. I am confident that Crimea is Russian. But let's draw parallels. The people of Nagorno-Karabakh also self-determined through a referendum. But sadly, the will of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh has not yet been realized, despite the support of Russia and other countries. The recent war showed that from the three principles—non-use of force, the right of peoples to self-determination, territorial integrity—of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement two—the right to self-determination and non-use of force—have been violated," Artur Vanetsyan said.
