Greg Abbott, Texas Gov., has issued a decree stating that businesses and organizations in the state are not allowed to require mandatory coronavirus vaccinations from their employees or customers, he said on Twitter.

He added the issue was also submitted to a special session of the state legislature.

According to the text of the decree, no organization has the right to force anyone to receive the vaccine against COVID-19, whether it is an employee or a consumer who does not agree to vaccination for any personal reasons, because of religious beliefs or for medical reasons.

Earlier, Texas authorities banned companies and institutions in the state from requiring its residents to provide proof of vaccination against the new coronavirus as a condition of the provision of any services.
