Prison #17 in Rustavi, which is 30 km from Tbilisi, is burning, and it is near the prison in which former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili is currently in, TV Pirveli reports.
According to preliminary data, the fire broke out in the prison’s cafeteria.
Firefighters are trying to put out the fire, but winds are making it difficult.
The reasons behind the fire remain unclear.
