The National Assembly should announce about work as the only possible way to achieve success. Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan stated this in the parliament Tuesday while presenting the bill on amendments to the law on holidays and remembrance days in Armenia.

This draft stipulates that from the New Year and Christmas holidays in Armenia, only December 31, January 1, and January 6 shall be non-working days in the country.

"For 44 days and eight days after that, I saw every day how unprepared we were for the [Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh)] war [last fall]. (…) we have not been able to consolidate the victory of our fathers and cement it for 26 years," the minister said, adding that the submitted bill on reducing the number of New Year and Armenian Christmas holidays is not a purely technical or economic plan, but a civilizational one, too.

Kerobyan assured that all the calculations have been done and, accordingly, the hotels and restaurants in Armenia will work more on those days.
