According to Armenian Times newspaper, the Armenian side has 10 casualties, injured and lost 2 military posts as a result of the exchange of fire in Syunik Province.

As reported earlier, according to Hraparak.am’s reports, today the Azerbaijanis captured 6 Armenian servicemen. The sources of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia confirmed the news, but Hraparak.am failed to receive official confirmation. The Ministry of Defense of Armenia still isn’t commenting on the news, and the phone calls remain unanswered.

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan also reports the capture of 6 Armenian servicemen.

According to Armenian Times newspaper’s reports, the exchange of fire between the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan and Armenia is for the two Armenian military posts on Mount Tsitsernakar.

According to Hraparak.am, the exchange of fire began after the Azerbaijani side demanded that the Armenian Armed Forces leave the two military posts on Mount Tsitsernakar located in Armenia’s territory, but the Armenian servicemen refused to fulfill the demand.

Today after midday the Ministry of Defense of Armenia disseminated a press release according to which the Azerbaijani side had shelled Armenian military posts.

The Ministry of Defense of Armenia reports that as of 2:30 p.m. the situation in the eastern zone of Armenia’s border remains extremely tense.

Local battles are taking place, during which the adversary is using artillery, armored vehicles and firearms of various calibers. The Armenian side is taking adequate actions. The situation is under the Armenian army’s control.
