German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock hopes that escalating tensions with Russia over Ukraine can be resolved diplomatically.

Baerbock said that every next act of aggression would come at a high price for Russia economically, strategically and politically.

Her remarks came during the joint press conference with her Ukrainian counterpart Dmitry Kuleba.

Kuleba said Ukraine and Germany are united in their desire to resume quadrilateral peace talks in the Normandy format, which includes Germany, France, Ukraine and Russia.

Kuleba said that was important for them that neither Berlin nor Paris made any decisions on Ukraine without Ukraine, and did not play any games behind their backs in relations with Russia.
