YEREVAN. – Within the framework of his visit to New York, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, Narek Mkrtchyan, met with Iran's Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs, Ensieh Khazali.

The interlocutors highlighted the implementation of steps aimed at expanding the Armenian-Iranian cooperation, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

An agreement was reached to clarify the options for joint development of new programs and initiatives in social protection, and exchange of experience. Accordingly, the possibility of signing a joint memorandum was discussed, which will define a number of details related to the economic development of families and the acquisition of their livelihoods, as well as the expansion of small and medium-sized households.

Also, this joint memorandum shall create the necessary preconditions for the policy of strengthening the foundations of the family and for making the commonalities of the societies of Iran and Armenia tangible.
