After visiting the Iranian embassy in Armenia and making a note in the book of condolences opened there in connection with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and several other officials’ tragic death in a helicopter crash on May 19, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, leader of the Tavush for the Homeland movement and Primate of the Diocese of Tavush of the Armenian Apostolic Church, had a short talk with Iran's deputy chief of mission to Armenia, Bahram Toheri.

Archbishop Galstanyan noted that his family is originally from New Julfa, Iran, but he was born in Armenia’s capital, Yerevan.

“So the feeling is the same. My condolences. May God bless and enlighten," added Galstanyan.

In turn, Iran's deputy chief of mission to Armenia said: "In recent days, Armenia and the Armenian people showed a warm attitude and offered support to us, for which we are grateful."
