A completely predictable process is underway in Armenia: the current authorities are handing over Karabakh, military analyst Davit Jamalyan told a press conference Monday.

Moreover, according to him, the Armenian authorities are ready to hand over not only Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh,” but also the Syunik Province of Armenia, and this whole process will be covered up with patriotic statements and calls.

"The current authorities, represented by Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, in principle do not try to hide the risk of resumption of a full-scale war. According to them, that risk is great. They admit that Azerbaijan is going to strike a strong blow. Okay. But in that case a logical question arises: What should be the authorities’ adequate and normal response to the current external threats aimed at the interests of the state? What should the responsible authorities do in such cases? Quickly prepare the country for defense," Jamalyan said.

Also, the military analyst noted the importance of the efforts to be made in the diplomatic arena. In his view, these efforts should be aimed also at eliminating the above-mentioned risks. However, as Davit Jamalyan noted, any diplomatic effort will be in vain if the country and its political leadership are nothing.
