The Australian authorities have announced plans to increase the amount of military assistance supplied to Ukraine by more than 19m dollars, ABC reported.

It is about providing Kiev with a new package of support, which includes heavy artillery weapons and ammunition.

It is assumed that Canberra will send to Ukraine six 155-mm M777 howitzers with a range of up to 30 km, as well as ammunition for them.

The total amount of funds, which is directed by the Australian government for the purchase of arms for Ukraine, will increase up to 161.6 million USD.
