Former Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu urged Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan to take the same principled position towards former US President Donald Trump and current American leader Joe Biden as towards Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, with whom he promised not to communicate anymore, Sözcü newspaper reports.

Speaking to the nation on Monday, Erdogan said that Mitsotakis, after his visit to the United States, where he called on the United States not to sell F-16 fighter jets to Turkey, now does not exist for him and he does not intend to neither meet nor deal with him.

The theses expressed by Mitsotakis in the US are absolutely unacceptable. This is an approach that destroys peace on the island [Cyprus], disrupts stability in the Aegean and Mediterranean seas. He, of course, had to answer, the newspaper quotes Davutoglu, who in 2014-2016 headed the Turkish government, and before that the Foreign Ministry.

However, the politician added, in this regard, a number of questions arise, in particular, why the answer to the Prime Minister of Greece was heard five days after his statement in the United States, and also whether the Greek Ambassador was summoned to the Turkish Foreign Ministry on this issue earlier.
