YEREVAN. – Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, on Thursday met with the secretary of the Security Council of Russia, Nikolay Patrushev, who has arrived in Yerevan to attend a regular meeting of the Committee of Secretaries of the CSTO Security Councils.

Within the framework of bilateral cooperation, the interlocutors discussed security issues, the Office of the Security Council of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. In this connection. Patrushev stressed that Armenia is a strategically important partner of Russia, and Moscow supports Armenia in the processes of ensuring regional security.

Grigoryan, for his part, briefed his Russian counterpart on the regional security situation, the Armenian-Azerbaijani border situation, the course of the work of the commissions on Armenia-Azerbaijan border delimitation and border security, as well as the process of normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations.
