It is pointless to say that the Surmalu shopping market in Yerevan was deliberately blown up. Davit Hambaryan, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of Armenia, told reporters about this on Tuesday.
"We clearly see what we are dealing with," Hambaryan added.
At the same time, he stated that it will be possible to give a clear answer to this question only as a result of the investigation.
"There was a crowd of people in the center of the building—in the epicenter of the explosion," said the deputy minister.
The death toll in Sunday’s powerful blast at the Surmalu market has reached sixteen. And eight people are considered missing.
