European Council President Charles Michel expressed his condolences for the explosion at the Surmalu shopping center.
"Today I join all Armenians in their mourning for the lives lost in the tragic explosion at Sumalu market in Yerevan," Michel wrote on Twitter.
He expressed his condolences to the families who lost loved ones and wished a speedy recovery to the victims.
