Turkey intends to complete the construction of the pipeline section connecting natural gas fields in the Black Sea and production sites on land by the end of the year. The country's Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Donmez said this, Yeni Safak reported.

A total of three pipes will be laid. Our goal is to complete all three lines by the end of the year, Donmez noted.

He added that the main work on the pipeline has already been completed. The main pipeline will be ready by the end of September.

The publication added that 10 million cubic meters of gas per day will be extracted from Sakarya field at the initial stage (3.4 to 4 billion per year). At that, by 2028 the daily production volume should grow up to 40 mln cubic meters, which is comparable to 15 bln cubic meters per year.
