The price of gold on Thursday morning remains above $1,730 per troy ounce, trading data showed.

The price of December gold futures on the New York Comex Exchange rose $10.9, or 0.63%, to $1,731.7 a troy ounce. December silver futures rose 1.69% to $20.892 an ounce.

Gold corrected slightly after declining on Wednesday, but it still did not manage to cross the $1,740 mark after days of gains.
