Germany will deliver the first of four IRIS-T SLM air defense systems to Ukraine within days, German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht said.

The renewed rocket attacks on Kyiv and many other cities show how important it is to promptly supply Ukraine with air defense systems, Lambrecht said in a statement.

Russian missile and drone attacks are terrorizing civilians, she said.
