Russian President Vladimir Putin said they positively assess the summit of the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia in Sochi. His remarks came at a meeting of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Yerevan on Tuesday.

According to his assessment, the outcome of this summit, including a joint statement, created a good basis for future compromises.

According to Putin, it is possible to achieve sustainable normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan through a consistent implementation of agreements on delimitation, transport unblocking and solution of humanitarian problems.

The Russian President expressed his hope that this would lead to the conclusion of a peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku.
