More than 340 people have been arrested on various charges following the devastating earthquakes in Turkey, TRT Haber reported.

160 suspects have been arrested as part of investigations related to buildings demolished or rebuilt in violation of zoning in earthquake-affected provinces, centered in Kahramanmaras. The number of arrests in the theft investigations has risen to 181.

Investigations initiated by the attorneys general's offices in 11 provinces have identified 564 suspects in connection with buildings that collapsed or were improperly rebuilt.

Judicial review has been established for 175 suspects. In addition, arrest warrants have been issued for 71 suspects and detention warrants have been issued for 61.

Eighteen people were still in custody at the direction of the General Prosecutor's Office, and 11 suspects had been declared dead. Six suspects were found to be abroad, and 62 suspects were released after their statements.

Looting investigations identified 282 suspects in 351 incidents. 181 of these suspects were arrested by judicial precincts and 35 were placed under judicial review.
