Washington will allocate Kyiv a new package of military assistance worth two billion dollars, Presidential National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan told CNN.

"Today, the United States announced a further $2 billion in security assistance to Ukraine," Sullivan said.

Earlier, the channel, citing an unnamed official, reported that the new aid package does not involve equipment from Pentagon warehouses. It is assumed that we are talking about a government order, and delivery of such goods will take much longer. In addition, it is stressed that the change in approach demonstrates Washington's commitment to provide Kiev with long-term assistance.
