An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 has occurred off the coast of the Antakya region of Hatay province in southern Turkey.

This was reported on Sunday, February 26 on the website of the Disaster and Emergency Management Department (AFAD) of the Turkish government, reports Anadolu.

The tremors were recorded at 05.26 local time.

The epicenter was 3.25 km from Samandag district of Hatay province.

The source was located at a depth of 13.29 km on the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea.
