Cooperation between the Ministries of Finance of Armenia and Georgia has been more intensive in recent times. Armenian finance minister Vahe Hovhannisyan stated this Wednesday during his meeting with the delegation headed by the newly appointed Georgian Ambassador to Armenia, Giorgi Sharvashidze.

Hovhannisyan, while welcoming the guests, congratulated Ambassador Sharvashidze on assuming the aforesaid post, and expressed hope that the existing cooperation between the two countries will be effective and continuous, the Ministry of Finance of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

This is also evidenced by the visit of representatives of the Armenian Ministry of Finance and the State Revenue Committee to Georgia in July last year.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, Giorgi Sharvashidze, in turn, congratulated Vahe Hovhannisyan on his appointment as Armenia's Minister of Finance.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed the necessity of efforts aimed at the exchange of experience and effective cooperation.
